When it comes to maternity sessions, the optimal window is after 20 weeks of pregnancy, setting the stage for a session between 32-36 weeks. This timeframe elegantly captures your radiant baby bump without the stress of last-minute arrangements. For newborn sessions, we usually schedule around the due date, then making necessary adjustments as needed.
How do lifestyle sessions differ from studio sessions?
Lifestyle sessions are all about capturing natural and candid moments in the cozy setting of your own home. It's a laid-back approach that highlights the genuine connections and unique surroundings of your family. On the other hand, studio sessions offer a more structured environment, focusing on posed portraits to achieve a classic and timeless look. Do you offer photoshoots in outdoor locations for lifestyle sessions?
Certainly! We love outdoor sessions, though they are weather-dependent, especially in the unpredictable UK climate. To keep things flexible, we offer the possibility of an outdoor shoot in your own garden as part of the Home Lifestyle Session when weather conditions permit. If you're eyeing other outdoor locations, we recommend signing up for our newsletter. Are extended family members allowed to participate in the session?
Absolutely! For home lifestyle sessions, it's a fantastic opportunity to capture the unique connections that make your family special. Just let us know who you'd like to include, and we'll plan accordingly to ensure everyone feels comfortable and involved. For studio sessions, we have limited space, so if you have a larger group, please give us a heads up in advance. Additional fee may apply. This helps us provide the best experience for you and your extended group, ensuring everyone enjoys their time in front of the camera. Your understanding and early notification are much appreciated!
What safety measures do you have in place during newborn sessions?
Your little one's safety is our top priority! Our photographer is extensively trained in newborn posing and safety, employing gentle and secure posing techniques to ensure your baby is always supported and comfortable. We maintain a warm and cozy studio environment for added comfort. Additionally, thorough cleaning and sanitization practices are implemented for all props, surfaces, and equipment used in each session. Your peace of mind is as important to us as capturing those precious moments. At our studio, we are committed to ongoing education and best practices to ensure your baby is in safe and capable hands.
Do you provide hair and makeup services for the sessions?
While we don't offer in-house services, we can recommend some fantastic local beauty experts to help you look and feel your best for your session!
What is your policy on rescheduling or canceling a session?
Your flexibility is important to us! For Newborn Sessions, you can freely reschedule based on your baby's birth date and health. For other sessions, rescheduling or cancellation is available up to 14 days in advance at no extra charge. In case of unforeseen emergencies, we'll do our best to accommodate you with a rescheduled session, and your deposit will be applied to the new date. In rare cases where circumstances beyond our control arise, like unforeseen illness or Acts of God, we'll do everything we can to reschedule your session at a time that suits you best. If that's not possible, we're happy to cancel the session and refund your deposit. Your peace of mind means everything to us and we deeply appreciate your understanding and proactive communication, as they play a pivotal role in ensuring the best possible experience for everyone involved.
Can we request a mix of candid and posed shots for our lifestyle session?
Absolutely! Your family, your style. We're here to capture the moments that matter most to you. Whether candid, posed, or a perfect blend of both, let us know your preferences in the pre-session Client Questionnaire. We'll tailor the session to reflect your family's unique story.
Can we include our pets in the session?
Ensuring safety is our top priority. Our studio is a cosy space with large equipment, often welcoming newborns, young children, and expectant mothers. For everyone's safety, we kindly ask that pets stay at home. However, for Home Sessions, we welcome your fur babies! Simply inform us in advance so our photographer can plan accordingly. We want to ensure a comfortable and secure environment for both your family and your pets, avoiding any situations that might make them uneasy.
Can we incorporate specific activities or elements that are meaningful to our family?
Absolutely! We love adding personal touches to your session. Feel free to share your ideas or themes, and we'll work together to create a unique and memorable experience for you and your little one.
What happens if my baby is fussy or uncooperative during the session?
Babies are unpredictable, and that's perfectly okay! We build in extra time to accommodate their needs. If your little one needs a break, a feed, or a cuddle, we go with the flow to capture those sweet, authentic moments. Keeping your little one happy and content is our top priority.
